Whether you want to learn more about wildlife encounters, accommodation options or travel logistics, we offer informative answers to ensure you have an unforgettable adventure.

Tanzania and Kenya are excellent year-round destinations. Although you can travel at any time, the dry season is the best time for comfortable wildlife viewing.
In East Africa, the dry season usually runs from June through mid-March.
Keep in mind that this is high season,  so early booking is essential and prices are also about 10% more expensive during this period (including international flights).

The routes sometimes vary in duration and distance. In Tanzania and Kenya, tours tend to be compact,  with a strong focus on spotting a wide variety of wildlife.

Rest assured … every safari is an unforgettable experience and lets you experience the true spirit of an environment.  Have questions or not sure which tour or region to choose? Then contact us and we will be happy to help you further, in finding (and creating) the perfect safari that suits you.

In summary, any season, whether drier or wetter, In summary, any season, whether slightly drier or wetter, offers pleasant weather for all your activities.

For entry into Tanzania, you can also obtain a visa on arrival.  This is the cheapest option, but be sure to carry $50 cash for smooth processing.  Information on obtaining your visa (and other helpful tips) will be sent to you well in advance.

In a word: exquisite. Almost all packages include meals, and every meal is a true delight. The lodges serve both local specialties and continental dishes, so there is something for every taste. Especially in Tanzania, you can enjoy both French cuisine and a variety of delicious regional specialties, including vegetarian options. Even in the bush, the quality of meals in the lodges and camps is excellent. With fresh meat, vegetables and fruits from the surrounding agricultural areas.

On Zanzibar, the spice island, specialties are influenced by Arab Swahili cuisine, with slightly spicy rice dishes and coconut preparations. Fresh fish from the Indian Ocean is brought in daily.

In many cases, you do not need vaccinations! For example, no vaccinations are required for entry into Tanzania or Kenya. However, we do recommend that you always consult your doctor before traveling. It is important to properly assess your health requirements before leaving for a foreign country.
A malaria drug is recommended just to be on the safe side. Except in some specific regions (which we will point out to you then), there are no malaria mosquitoes to be found. It is wise to take malaria tablets in certain regions, but it is not a requirement. In summary, contact your doctor well in advance of your departure (6 weeks) to discuss these suggestions.

Around or on the equator, a pleasant temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius welcomes the day , with temperatures rarely varying extremely  throughout the year. Even during the day, it is usually comfortable.
By evening and early morning, however, it can be a bit chillier, so a sweater or light jacket may come in handy. Temperature differences are determined by region rather than season. Higher elevations around Mount Kenya or Mount Meru, for example, can be cooler, while drier bushlands are warmer and coastal areas such as Mombasa or Zanzibar are quite tropical.

This means that there are no distinct winters or summers, as in South Africa, for example. Between April and May, however, there is the rainy season. However, our experience here tells us that heavy rains are rare … because of global warming? Usually every 3 days there can be a shower, usually at night. Besides the lower prices, which are about 10% cheaper, all the landscapes then turn beautifully green.

In short, in general, expect early mornings and evenings on safari to be cooler than you might expect in Africa. Especially if you travel between April and June, it is rare to bring a thick fleece or waterproof jacket, as it can feel quite chilly early in the morning or at night.

Katja, co-founder of JADORE SAFARIS, has developed a passion for tourism with more than 5 years of experience organizing safaris in East Africa. Together with local partners, the company has grown into a unique initiative focused on exclusive private safaris away from mass tourism.

An African safari is always an adventure. But to embark on your adventure means that even during the planning phase, you need to get in touch with someone who provides independent and honest advice.

It is rare for someone to return home disappointed about their safari, but they may not be aware of what they did not see and how much better it could have been.

Katja wants to make sure her clients are aware of all options for their African adventure … regardless of how they define that adventure. JADORE SAFARIS clients become her good friends, many of whom return to Tanzania or Kenya to travel with us again.

Turn it or twist it, but it is always the driver/guide conducting the safari that makes or breaks the safari.

Raphael is not just someone doing his job; he, like the rest of the team breathes JADORE SAFARIS in and out.
At an early age, this Kenyan decided he wanted to get involved in guiding visitors to see and learn about this amazing northern circuit of The Rift Valley in Tanzania and Kenya.

With his knowledge of French and Italian, he works as a freelancer for several companies that provided excellent services.
His passion and knowledge of all aspects of the region’s nature, landscape and culture are immediately evident when you set out with him.
