Day 2
Arusha National park
Explore the beauty of Arusha National Park
After a delicious breakfast, your safari adventure begins! Meet the JADORE SAFARIS guide and board a comfortable 4×4 Toyota Landcruiser for a brief trip briefing. Experience the splendor of Arusha National Park with a game-walk led by an armed ranger. Meet unique animals, admire waterfalls and enjoy the enchanting natural splendor of Tanzania.
Read more about Day 2
- After breakfast we will meet our Safari guide and 4x4 (Toyota Landcruiser) and you will get a short briefing of the trip.
- Your adventure begins immediately with a game-walk (a walking safari) in Arusha NP. The towering Mount Meru is Tanzania's second highest peak and provides the majestic backdrop for this national park. Do the hike by mutual agreement in the morning or shortly after noon, while the sun is already shining because in the morning it can feel quite chilly at this altitude.
- Together with an armed ranger, one of the things we do is hike along a clear and fresh stream with waterfall and remarkable (rather harmless) animals, including the unique white and black colobus monkey, a unique albino baboon that sits here and larger animals such as giraffes, elephants, zebras, hippos, buffalo, dik-dik and several antelope. Not to mention the many flamingos at the lakes of Momella.
- With a picnic basket under our arms, we take our lunch at Momella Lakes.
- Kahawa House
Day 3
Tarangire National Park
Experience Tarangire park and enjoy at the Elephant Lodge.
After a scenic and romantic drive, we reach Tarangire National Park, one of Africa’s most beautiful parks. Discover overwhelming elephant herds and zebras. Relax just outside the park at Elephant Lodge. End the day with a delicious dinner before finding peace in this piece of paradise.
Read more about Day 3
- After breakfast, we will leave for Tarangire NP, which is about a 3-hour drive (160 km).
- Tarangire NP was recently voted the 3rd most beautiful park in Africa and is also our favorite.
- Particularly large numbers of elephant herds (sometimes up to 100) congregate here, as do many zebras.
- We are staying just outside the park where we will spend the night. A nice end to the day before you can rest is the dinner offered to you. Optionally, you can do some exciting activities here such as riding a baby carriage or a quat.
- Elephant Lodge
Day 4
Tarangire National Park
Enjoy another exclusive game drive and overnight at the Kudu Lodge.
After a delicious breakfast, we continue our safari in the quiet south of Tarangire National Park, with a picnic lunch amidst elephants. Heading towards Lake Manyara and Karatu, a 2-hour drive away, Kudu Lodge awaits you. Relax in a comfortable bungalow after a day of unforgettable safari experiences.

- Especially in the southern part of the park where we go now it is much quieter, with no other safari vehicles and so we visit the evergreen swamps where elephants pass through, feasting on the succulent grasses.
- Picnic in the middle of the park.
- After the "African Massage" with the many bumps this evening a real 1-hour body massage.
- Kudu Lodge
Day 5
Serengeti National Park
Explore the vast beauty of the mighty Serengeti.
After breakfast, we leave Karatu and this time drive a good 100 km further to enter the legendary Serengeti. It is about 5 hours of driving on good but also very bad dirt roads until we reach the central Seronera section.
Driving through the Ngornogoro highlands is certainly an experience that will leave you immersed in the natural beauty this location has to offer.

- The dinner is not just one in the general restaurant but a bush dinner just for the two of you.
- Then you can relax with the sounds of the savannah. However, it is usually very quiet here because this camp is located in ' the middle of nowhere'.................. only the hyenas sometimes dare to wake you up.
- Serengeti Tortilis Camp
Day 6
serengetiNational Park
Relax again at Serengeti Tortilis Camp, everything is taken care of for you!
This will be a full day in the beautiful Serengeti central. Na breakfast we explore this vast area in one of Africa’s most awe-inspiring safari areas. Because there are not many “real” roads here, the wildlife can live here completely undisturbed, which also makes this area excellent for year-round safaris.
Once again you will drive through these endless plains. The name “Serengeti” is derived from the word “seringit” in the Maasai language Maa, meaning “endless plains.”

- Here you can sometimes find as many as 25 different wild cats (lion, cheetah, leopard, serval, caracal) a day.
- Today you will take a "hamper." This is a large picnic basket where you can take a hot lunch, amidst the Serenegeti.
- This is also the ideal day for an (optional) hot air balloon safari.
- Serengeti Tortilis Camp
Day 7
NgorongoroCrater
Explore the beauty of legendary Ngorongoro Crater.
After spending a few days in Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater is still on our program. These we will also descend, of course … in search of rhinos.
This remarkable crater, formed by a massive volcanic eruption two million years ago, features fertile lava soil with a unique and thriving ecosystem.
Read more about Day 7
- Before departing, there will be a final private breakfast in the bush.
- Ngorongoro Crater is a vast plain intersected by small rivers, swamps, forests, and the white Lake Magadi.
- Early in the morning (after bush breakfast) we leave our camp with the intention of game-driving in this UNESCO world heritage site from around 11am to 5pm.
- It is in Karatu where you have stayed before that you will spend your last night on the mainland. Here, by the way, they have provided another surprise for you.
- Kudu Lodge
Day 8
DirectionZanzibar
Experience the herbal island of Zanzibar and enjoy at the Fun Beach Hotel.
Unfortunately, this will be the last day on Tanzanian soil. But there is more: Zanzibar. The drive is only 3h to Arusha. There, shortly after noon your plane towards ZZB is already waiting and after barely an hour you will be there.
Read more about Day 8
- After breakfast we leave for Arusha, which is about 160 km away.

- You will stay in the suite room overlooking the sea.
- Fun Beach Hotel
Day 9-14
Zanzibar

Like most countries in East Africa near the equator, Zanzibar has the same days and nights of 12 hours each, with daytime temperatures always between 27 and 30 degrees.
The island’s rich heritage and cultural significance, in addition to the beach, make it an attractive destination for those who want to explore its fascinating past.
Read more about days 9-14

In East Africa, the dry season usually runs from June through mid-March.
For entry into Tanzania, you can also obtain a visa on arrival. This is the cheapest option, but be sure to carry $50 cash for smooth processing. Information on obtaining your visa (and other helpful tips) will be sent to you well in advance.
On Zanzibar, the spice island, specialties are influenced by Arab Swahili cuisine, with slightly spicy rice dishes and coconut preparations. Fresh fish from the Indian Ocean is brought in daily.
By evening and early morning, however, it can be a bit chillier, so a sweater or light jacket may come in handy. Temperature differences are determined by region rather than season. Higher elevations around Mount Kenya or Mount Meru, for example, can be cooler, while drier bushlands are warmer and coastal areas such as Mombasa or Zanzibar are quite tropical.
This means that there are no distinct winters or summers, as in South Africa, for example. Between April and May, however, there is the rainy season. However, our experience here tells us that heavy rains are rare … because of global warming? Usually every 3 days there can be a shower, usually at night. Besides the lower prices, which are about 10% cheaper, all the landscapes then turn beautifully green.
In short, in general, expect early mornings and evenings on safari to be cooler than you might expect in Africa. Especially if you travel between April and June, it is rare to bring a thick fleece or waterproof jacket, as it can feel quite chilly early in the morning or at night.
