General conditions

Jadore Safaris

Last updated: [3-7-2024]

1. Your fitness and health

We are not responsible for the condition you are in at the start of the trip. We always offer you the opportunity to get insurance during the period of your safari and thus take adequate measures.   AMREF flying doctors services is always included in every safari booking (booked after August 1, 2024) of JADORE SAFARIS. This is to be repatriated by helicopter to the nearest hospital. Such urgent medical assistance is only possible through this service. Be aware that a safari is not on highways but on dirt roads and that with connecting drives included one will often spend 8 hours a day in the car. You are therefore responsible for taking into account your own age, health and/or condition.

2. Additional insurance and vaccinations.

We recommend that you inform yourself well before departure about the possible formulas and precautions that your travel insurance may offer. Keep in mind that the company where you take out a cancellation insurance often only wants to do this at the moment that you actually book the trip with us (not after a few weeks or months). In addition, some vaccinations are sometimes required or desired to travel to Africa. We recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor to go over the medical file together which medication might still be necessary in your case. JADORE SAFARIS cannot be held responsible for personal accidents, damaged or lost property. However, we will protect you and your belongings with the utmost care against loss or theft.

3. Cancellation conditions, reservation and payment.

All international payments are made according to strict legal rules directly to our bank account in Tanzania and not through a detour. All payments are made in US dollars. Additional costs of bank transfers, including during refunds due to cancellation or no-show are for your account and will never be refunded afterwards either.

Also for your international flight, be well informed what the options are regarding canceling your ticket.

Without notice or any proof of communication to us and not being present at the agreed meeting place (in many cases the airport), will result in a loss of 100% of the total trip price. Cancellation of your trip up to 45 days before departure will result in a loss of 80% of the total trip price. Cancellation of your trip up to 3 months before departure will result in a loss of 30% of the total trip price (corresponding to the advance payment).

The deposit or down payment is 30% of the total travel price and must be paid within 2 weeks of booking. The total travel sum must be paid no later than 45 days before departure in order to guarantee your booking. We are always in personal contact with you and these booking conditions are somewhat negotiable.

4. Possible changes to the trajectory.

Due to bad weather conditions, road works or for safety reasons, we reserve the right to have to change the route. JADORE SAFARIS will always go to great lengths if safety permits, however, to follow the timing and route.

5. The guesthouse.

Also, due to force majeure (renovations, flooding, storm damage …) your guest house may be declared uninhabitable. In this case, JADORE SAFARIS is entitled to provide an equivalent alternative.

6. Prices stated on the website and on the quotation.

Each travel sample or quote states very clearly what is and is not included in the price. There will be no additional or extra charges as it is described on the quote. The price is also communicated in euros but the final payment will be in US dollars. This of course at the exchange rate at the time of booking. Almost all travel examples and travel formulas are based on full board unless otherwise stated (e.g. on Zanzibar this formula is less common). We always arrange an extra night’s stay and transfer if needed in function of your flight and arrival or departure of the safari.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Our privacy policy governs the collection and use of personal information. By using our services, you agree to the terms of our privacy policy.

8. Changes to the Terms and Conditions.

These terms and conditions may be updated to comply with legal requirements or changes in our business practices. The most recent version of our terms and conditions will always be available on our website.

For questions or comments about our terms and conditions, please contact us via whatsapp or email. Thank you for understanding and complying with our terms and conditions.

Raphael Oyoo

Turn it or twist it, but it is always the driver/guide conducting the safari that makes or breaks the safari.

Raphael is not just someone doing his job; he, like the rest of the team breathes JADORE SAFARIS in and out.
At an early age, this Kenyan decided he wanted to get involved in guiding visitors to see and learn about this amazing northern circuit of The Rift Valley in Tanzania and Kenya.

With his knowledge of French and Italian, he works as a freelancer for several companies that provided excellent services.
His passion and knowledge of all aspects of the region’s nature, landscape and culture are immediately evident when you set out with him.

Katja de Feu

Katja, co-founder of JADORE SAFARIS, has developed a passion for tourism with more than 5 years of experience organizing safaris in East Africa. Together with local partners, the company has grown into a unique initiative focused on exclusive private safaris away from mass tourism.

An African safari is always an adventure. But to embark on your adventure means that even during the planning phase, you need to get in touch with someone who provides independent and honest advice.

It is rare for someone to return home disappointed about their safari, but they may not be aware of what they did not see and how much better it could have been.

Katja wants to make sure her clients are aware of all options for their African adventure … regardless of how they define that adventure. JADORE SAFARIS clients become her good friends, many of whom return to Tanzania or Kenya to travel with us again.

In addition to the personal welcome, it is also Katja who, behind the scenes as financial director, ensures that everything once you are here can also run smoothly.
